Space Hacks to Support Neuro-Divergent Learners
Every student experiences and responds to their learning environment differently. When we design spaces that support neurodivergent learners, we create better environments for all students. This interactive session explores why space matters and how the physical classroom can create predictable and thoughtful environments that support neuro-divergent learners and provide benefits for all. Participants will learn practical, research-informed strategies for creating supportive and intuitive learning environments, regardless of budget or facility constraints. Through real-world examples, collaborative brainstorming, and a hands-on design challenge, attendees will identify opportunities within their own classrooms and discover how to transform existing furniture, materials, and spaces into more neuroinclusive environments that help every learner thrive.
