FAQs

Education and CEUs | LUs

Q:  How do I select the EDsessions I want to attend? Do I need to sign up in advance?

A:  Seating in EDsessions is on a first-come basis. Should a classroom fill to capacity, standing room may not exceed fire marshal limits.

Q:  How do I receive Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) or Learning Units (LUs)?

A:  EDsessions are included in full conference registrations and day passes only. If you provide a certification number at the time of registration, AIA LUs and HSW credits will be reported within 30 days after EDspaces. GBCI credits and IDCEC CEUs are self-reported. If you need a certificate to report your participation, please email your request to Adrienne Dayton, EDmarket Vice President of Communications and Education.

Q:  How do I access EDsessions handouts and presentations?

A:  EDsessions handouts and presentations become available online when submitted by speakers. Click the session title and look for the .pdf logo.

Q:  I understand the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education Fall Conference is co-locating with EDspaces. Will my registration allow me to attend both programs?

A:  Full Conference registrants can attend all conference programming being held in the convention center; although, some functions require tickets and additional fees.

The AIA CAE programming is included in the EDsessions.

Health and Safety

Q:  What steps are EDspaces and Emerald taking to ensure the safety of exhibitors and attendees in light of current circumstances?

A: The EDspaces team is monitoring the COVID-19 situation daily and following the guidelines set forth by our federal and local governments and health agencies. We are also in close contact with local authorities in Portland and our show partners. We are moving forward with a face-to-face event in November and are optimistic that we will be able to host EDspaces safely. In addition, we are working with other show teams within Emerald who are staging shows ahead of our event to ensure the highest level of control measures and best practices are being implemented.
