Dr. Tess is proud to have served in education for over 20 years with experience as a classroom teacher, elementary and middle school assistant principal, middle school principal and assistant superintendent.  Her diverse experiences as an elementary teacher in southern California, within a Department of Defense school system in Alabama and on the North Shore of Chicago continue to shape her commitment to the development of emerging leaders, creative problem solving and compassionate leadership.

Learner Engagement:The session will use an interactive case study presentation to share how engagement strategies and content were tailored to meet the needs and interests of the various groups engaged during the master plan and post-referendum election design phases. Via active learning techniques, we will engage the audience to reflect on their own experiences encouraging mutual sharing of ideas.
