Karyn Richmond is a two-time Platinum award-winning Wellness Coordinator leading the Sun Prairie Area School District’s Wellness Program. With 30+ years in rural and suburban districts, including experience as a school-based occupational therapist, Karyn champions a whole-person approach to wellbeing. Trained in worksite wellness, mindfulness, yoga, professional coaching, grief support, SafeTALK, Reiki, and EFT Tapping, she brings a diverse toolkit to her work. She serves on the Sun Prairie Wellness Coalition, Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Commission, and co-facilitates the Wellness Council of Wisconsin Education Well-being Peer Group. Under her leadership, SPASD has earned WELCOA’s Platinum Well Workplace designation and the WCWI Mental Health in the Workplace Certificate.
