Intent, Impact & Identity: Empowering Engagement Through Dynamic CTE Experiences

EDsession (60 minutes in classrooms)TRACK 1: Learning Spaces, Reimagined — Evolving physical spaces shaping the future of learning

The Blue Springs School District’s new Career Innovation Center (CIC) currently houses five core CTE pathways serving students from four districts. Utilizing local employment data and an increase in student interest, the district engaged Hollis + Miller Architects to develop a collaborative journey with students and staff to explore intent, impact and identity for the 100,000-square-foot facility. We’ll discuss how engagement and lessons learned from phase I impacted phase II and the daily student experience.
