Katelyn M. Forcucci, Ed.S., M.Ed.

Katelyn is the Chief Education Strategist at emPOWERED PD: PD by MiEN. She spent ten years teaching high school English (in NY and FL) and has taught in a 1-2 multiage classroom and third grade in NY. She has taught: 7-12 graders in Cambridge, intensive, honors, and regular English classes, as well as Creative Writing and Regents Prep. Katelyn started her teaching career in Upstate New York, where she received her tenure. She taught 9 Honors, Cambridge, and 12th-grade College Prep English in Florida, where she was acknowledged as a high-impact educator. She has taught in affluent, rural, and urban settings.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia, a Master’s in Gifted Education and Differentiated Instruction from Canisius University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from National Louis University. Katelyn has served on the Superintendent Steering Committee, and has served as the department chair, Cambridge Coordinator, class advisor, gifted coordinator, yearbook advisor, new educator coordinator, and acting administrator. She was also on the innovations team for Charter Schools USA, where she was instrumental in the design of a new school model. She has published articles in national publications and blogs on her site, edukaterscorner.

Katelyn serves on the board of EDmarket as board member at large and is the chair of the Educational Manufacturing Committee (EMC). She was part of the first cohort of EDmarket's NexGen Rising Stars and now helps to serve and mentor in this program. Katelyn is currently back in school for her doctorate in curriculum and instruction (#drkateby2028).

Using pre-session input from attendees, the session centers on authentic tensions shaping future-ready learning: innovation versus accountability, AI acceleration versus instructional readiness, and student well-being versus performance pressures. Participants engage in facilitated roundtable discussions, followed by cross-table exchanges that disrupt echo chambers and broaden perspective. Structured debate protocols guide participants through positioning, evidence-building, counterargument, and perspective-shifting, ensuring rigor and equity of voice. Rather than seeking premature consensus, the session prioritizes clarity — helping leaders identify what they believe, where tensions persist, and what that means for action. Leave with a co-developed Future-Ready Learning Blueprint, including design principles, priority tensions, and immediate next steps.
