EDspaces 2024 Scholarship Rules & Regulations

METHOD TO ENTER/APPLY: Complete the EDspaces 2024 Scholarship (“the Sweepstakes”) Application Form in its entirety. Deadline to submit your application for review is June 30, 2024, 11:59 PM EST.

ELIGIBILITY: To apply for the EDspaces 2024 Scholarship Program, you must be 21 years of age or older. Applicants must be employees of PreK-12 schools, community colleges, vocational schools, colleges/universities, corporate learning facilities, or after school programs with decision making/specifying/recommending roles. No entry fee, payment, or proof of purchase is required to enter the Sweepstakes. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Those who do not follow all of the instructions, provide accurate required information on their application form, or abide by these Official Rules or other instructions of the Sponsor, may be disqualified. No facsimiles or mechanical reproductions of applications are allowed. Entrants may not enter under multiple identities or use any other device or artifice to enter multiple times in excess of the limit stated herein. Any Entrant who attempts to enter in excess of the number of times allowed will be disqualified and forfeits any and all prizes won, in the Sponsors discretion. Limit one (1) application per eligible person. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: All qualified applications must be received via the EDspaces Scholarship Application, by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

HOW WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN: Applications will be collected via the EDspaces Scholarship Application form through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Applicants will be selected based on their school or organizations financial need, and the projected number and value of projects in the pipeline. Preference is given to first-time institutions and applicants whose role includes researching, purchasing, and decision-making responsibilities. Applications will be reviewed by EDspaces after June 30 and will be awarded based on financial need, and the projected number and value of projects in the pipeline.

POTENTIAL WINNER OBLIGATIONS: Where permitted by law, the Potential Winner grants (and agrees to confirm said grant in writing upon the request of the Sponsor) to Sponsor, and those acting pursuant to Sponsor’s direction or control, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the Internet, at any time or times, the Potential Winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional consideration and without notice, review or approval.

PRIZE TO BE AWARDED/VALUE: The total cumulative value of the Sweepstake Prize is worth up to $1,250 USD, provided in the form of a Full Conference Registration to EDspaces 2024, and potentially up to 3 Room Nights at an Official EDspaces 2024 Hotel from Emerald X. The prize will be awarded to the recipients who submit an application by the June 30 deadline within 30 days of the deadline via email.

RELEASE: By participating, participants release and agree to hold harmless Sponsor, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injury, loss or damage of any kind to persons (including, without limitation, death) or property, arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from or in connection with the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in this Sweepstakes, or any Sweepstakes-related activity. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, IN THE EVENT THAT THE PRECEDING RELEASE IS DETERMINED BY A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION TO BE INVALID OR VOID FOR ANY REASON, THE PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT, BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, (I) ANY CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, BUT IN NO EVENT ATTORNEYS’ FEES; AND (II) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY PARTICIPANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND PARTICIPANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM, ANY OTHER DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

PRIZE SUBSTITUTIONS: Scholarships are fully transferrable to another employee at the same institution, so long as they fit the eligibility requirements stated above.

PRIVACY NOTICE: EDspaces on occasion uses information collected on these entry forms to forward information about products or services we feel may be of interest and may share information collected about applicants included on the entry forms with other units within the family of EDspaces/ Emerald X, LLC, and/or with other reputable third party companies such as any co-sponsors, so they can inform you of products and services that may be of interest to you. GOVERNING LAW: By applying, participants agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Sweepstakes Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of applicants and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of California without regard to its conflicts of law provisions. All participants hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal or state courts located in Orange County, California.

Termination of Sweepstake: Emerald X reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify anyone who tampers with the application process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, void or suspend the Sweepstake in its entirety if anything required for conducting the Sweepstake malfunctions or is deemed illegal. If this Sweepstake is terminated prior to the end of any Application Period, which Emerald X may do at its sole discretion, Emerald X will provide notice.
