SUMMARY:Approaching Renovation Projects as Opportunities to Remodel the Teaching Paradigm
DESCRIPTION:Too many renovation projects fail to envision meaningful change in the primary learning spaces of a school facility. This session will present an award-winning high school renovation where the district focused on pedagogy that emphasized Real World Learning\, with architecture reimaging everything from student circulation patterns to community involvement in school operations. We will conclude by sharing results from a robust post occupancy evaluation providing key lessons learned from both the district and design perspective.
