Getting to Charlotte, North Carolina

By Air

Just 7 miles away, it only takes about 15 minutes to get from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to the Charlotte Convention Center. CLT offers:

By Car

Centrally located in the Queen City’s Uptown, the Charlotte Convention Center (CCC) is easily accessible from Interstate 85, Interstate 77 and U.S. Highway 74.

With the CCC’s two entrances, College Street and East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, you can find convenient parking in a garage or lot close to or connected to the CCC.

By Bus

The Greyhound bus terminal is located at 518 W 4th St, Charlotte, NC 28202, and is less than a mile from the CCC. (800) 231-2222

By Train

Amtrak service is available to/from Charlotte. Trains pull into the Charlotte station at 1914 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28206, two miles from the CCC.

Ground Transportation

Transportation to and from CLT is easy, and there are multiple, cost-effective ways to get there and back. For a one-way trip to or from Uptown, taxis cost a flat rate of $25 and a hybrid-electric Sprinter Bus Service costs $2.25. Ride-share services from Uber and Lyft are also available with designated meeting locations at baggage claim.

Rideshare Service

Lyft and Uber operate to and from the airports.

Taxicab Service

Taxi service is available curbside on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level. An attendant is on duty to assist passengers from 6:45 AM – 12:15 AM. Four taxi companies are available through the Airport’s taxi queue: City Cab, Crown Cab, Green Cab and Yellow Cab. These companies are evaluated annually to ensure all taxis have a GPS system, credit card technology and adhere to guidelines set forth by CLT. CLT Airport approved taxis feature a decal on the vehicle door.

Shuttle Service

Visitors can prearrange shuttle service by contacting one of the various providers on the visitor information boards located in Baggage Claim. A listing of transportation companies that are licensed to provide transportation services at CLT is also available.
