Education and Continuing Education Units

Q: Who can respond to the Call for Presentations?

A: Anyone involved in designing, building, equipping, and managing learning environments can submit proposals for presentation at EDspaces. Note: Commercially biased content is not accepted.

Q: How do I select the EDsessions I want to attend? Do I need to sign up for EDsessions in advance?

A: Seating in EDsessions is first-come, first-served. Should a classroom fill to capacity, entrance may be prevented. SRO may not exceed Fire Marshall limits.

Q: How do I get Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)?

A: EDsessions are included in full conference registrations and Day Passes only. If you provided a certification number at the time of registration, AIA LUs and HSW credits will be reported within 30 days after EDspaces. GBCI credits and IDCEC CEUs are self-reported. If you need a certificate to report your participation, please email your request to Adrienne Dayton, Vice President of Communications and Education.

Q: How do I get access to EDsessions handouts/presentations?

A: EDsessions handouts and presentations become available online when submitted by the presenter. Click on the session title and look for the .pdf logo near the bottom of the screen.

EDspaces App

Q: How do I download the app?

A: To download the app, visit to the App Store or Google Play Store (depending on your device). Once redirected you will be asked to download the EDspaces app. If you access the link from a desktop or laptop device, you may be redirected to the web version of the connectED tool.

Q: How do I login to the app?

A: Once you have downloaded the EDspaces app, open it and enter your login details. You should have already established login credentials upon download but if you experience challenges, please email

Q: Are my personal details visible in the app?

A: The EDspaces app will only display your professional information including name, job title and company. Information such as telephone number, email address or mail address will not be displayed.

Q: How do I remove myself from the app?

A: Please email with your removal request.

Q: Can I add meetings to my calendar?

A: When a meeting request is accepted it will send a calendar invite to your email address. All your meetings will also be stored for your review in the EDspaces app as well.


Q: Where will EDspaces 2020 be held?

A: EDspaces 2020 Conference and Marketplace will be held November 11 - 13 in the Charlotte Convention Center (CCC), 501 South College St, Charlotte, NC. All programming and events will take place at the CCC unless otherwise noted.

Q: When will EDspaces 2020 registration and housing open?

A: Registration and housing are now open!

Q: I've attended EDspaces in the past, but I can't remember my password. What do I do?

A: Please click: Forgot Password?. You'll receive an email from EDmarket Customer Service with instructions to reset your password. Please note:

  • The reset your password option will time out after five (5) minutes. Multiple attempts to reset your password may lock you out of the system and prevent you from registering.
  • Password Criteria:
    • Must be a minimum of 7 characters
    • Must include at least one letter and one number
    • Must include at least one of these special characters !@#$%^&*-
    • Cannot be a password used before
  • Because of stricter data privacy laws, EDmarket staff cannot provide passwords.
  • Save your password in a safe place. You'll need it anytime you do business with EDmarket.

Q: How can I register my coworkers/team?

A: The EDspaces registration system is based on a unique email address for every user. In addition, each registrant must answer specific demographic questions and provide an emergency contact.

Q: Can I pay the registration fee(s) with a Purchase Order (PO)?

A: Yes, schools (only) may pay registration fees with a PO. All payments must be made in full and received by Friday, November 6. Please contact EDmarket Customer Service to make arrangements.

Q: Are hotel rooms reserved for EDspaces registrants?

A: Yes! EDmarket has contracted with 10 hotels in Uptown Charlotte, and all are within walking distance of the Charlotte Convention Center. For budgeting purposes, the EDspaces 2020 Group Rates range between $199.00 and $239.00 per night + applicable state and local occupancy taxes (currently 15.25%).

Q: How do I book a hotel room?

A: Visit Charlotte is the Official EDspaces 2020 Housing Bureau. Beware of offers from other websites or vendors. Hotel resellers may contact you by phone or email offering hotel rooms at lower rates, but the EDspaces Housing Bureau will NOT. Entering into agreements with non-endorsed companies may have costly consequences including financial loss, identity theft, or no reservation at all.

The deadline to finalize exhibitor and group hotel reservations is 5:00 pm ET on Wednesday, September 23.

Special Needs

Q: I need assistance (dietary requirements, mobility concerns, etc.) to attend EDspaces. How do I let you know what assistance I need?

A: During EDspaces registration, you'll be given a chance to let us know what assistance you may need. Your dietary requirements are important to us, and all food items at EDspaces functions are labeled to show compliance. Mobility devices and other medical equipment are available for rent through Scootaround. For other special needs, EDmarket staff will reach out to you with questions and/or resources.

Q: How do I order Kosher meals at the convention center?

A: The convention center's in-house catering department is the exclusive provider of food and beverage service at EDspaces. Contact Betsy Belcher, Catering Sales Manager, to place your Kosher meal orders. Betsy will work directly with Charlotte's Kosher caterer.

Q: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

A: The EDspaces Conference and the pre-conference workshops WILL take place as planned, November 10-13, in Charlotte, NC. EDmarket staff are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are following the guidance from worldwide health organizations and experts. We are fully committed to taking appropriate precautions to provide a safe and healthy environment for attendees. We will post updates, if necessary, as we receive more information.
