The cafeteria is no longer just the cafeteria. It is the water cooler of the modern school - a gathering place for students to talk, a unique place to collaborate and learn, and of course, for students to eat. In much the same way as the EDspaces classrooms encourage experiential learning for the professional development, the EDspaces Cafe seating areas will allow you to experience a variety of uses, seating options and configurations to take away ideas and elevate the food service areas at your facility.

This well-appointed cafeteria "Smile Gather Space" is outfitted on one end with a small group of Orbit café tables and Smile stools. 42"H Kirby tables provide small group gather spaces each with groups of 6 Smile stools. A pair of 29"H Orbit tables with their smile chairs are distributed throughout the space and provide a bit of vertical variety. Sisi booths and Orbit rectangular tables provide a classic booth-style arrangement with retro style Toadstools. Three larger group spaces up the middle of the space use Cirrus 42"H tables with Smile stools and Derby 42"H Wave-top tables with Smile stools. A more intimate environment is defined with the use of Deuce High-Back seating with a 29"H Derby table in a classic "booth configuration". And, since this is still a place where people eat, an Oscar trash receptacle cabinet provides the finishing (and necessary) touch.

Palmer Hamilton created a café and meeting space to seat 106 people. The thought process was to create smaller spaces within the area to allow for dining, collaboration, meeting, working on a project, etc., a multi-purpose space. Many design elements are incorporated to create a fun, energizing and inviting space people want to hang out in. Most of the furniture is mobile, so the space could be rearranged depending on the purpose.
